Skills: Listening and Creative Expression.                  Children love rhymes and also the repetition of words, ideas, and skills are important for early brain development, as it creates secure foundations for early learning. Using rhyme, rhythm and repetition in song, while reading or even to make up your own rhymes, is great fun for children.                   Children will dramatize rhymes to develop language, literacy, creative thinking, and social skills. Most children enjoy hearing and participating in rhyming activities, and when they are exposed to rhyming, they usually pick it up naturally.                    So I always play my lesson/rhyme in a meaningful and enjoyable way. Topic: Common Nouns vs Proper Nouns Skills: Grammar, Speaking Reading, and Creative Expression. Grade: Primary.                  Grammar is a very difficult part to teach and also learn to children. We cannot teach grammar in a formal way to the primary children since they don't have such cognitive capacity to understand the rules. So we should teach in a contextual way. We derive the content from known to unknown and establish the rules finally. So I always plan and develop different innovative activities to teach grammar topics for my primary students.  I panned this activity to teach Common and Proper Nouns for my 4th-grade children. Topic: Language Games Level: Pre-primary and Primary Skills: Vocabulary and speaking               Here is another set of language games to teach and practice vocabulary. You can use these games in teaching other subjects also. Clap Clap Clap: To help pupil memorise and practice the words related to a topic. Make sure you have taught them vocabulary related to the topic. ( Topics: Animal names, fruits names, flower names, and vehicles..etc) Pupils are asked to stand in a circle. You stand in the middle of the circle. You need to choose a topic before going to play. Make sure the pupils know how to play. If they don't then give a quick demonstration giving a simple topic like 'animals'. The pupils have to say animals names only.
