Lesson: Tarigonda Vengamamaba (తరిగొండ వెంగమాంబ) Class: 5th AP SCERT Skill: Writing and creative expression తరిగొండ వెంగమాంబ 18 వ శతాబ్దానికి చెందిన తెలుగు కవయిత్రి, తిరుమల వేంకటేశ్వర స్వామి భక్తురాలు. వేంకటాచల మాహాత్మ్యము, ద్విపద భాగవతం వంటి ఆధ్యాత్మిక కావ్యాలు రచించింది. తరికొండ వేంకమాంబ రచించిన శ్రీకృష్ణమంజరి చాలా ప్రశస్తమైన స్తుతికావ్యం. వెంగమాంబ చిత్తూరు జిల్లా, గుర్రంకొండ మండలంలోని తరిగొండ గ్రామంలో వాసిష్ఠ గోత్రీకుడైన కానాల మంగమాంబా,కృష్ణయా మాత్య అను నందవరీక బ్రాహ్మణ దంపతులకు 1730లో జన్మించింది. ఈమె తన జీవితాంతం శ్రీవేంకటేశ్వరుణ్ణి ఆరాధించింది. చివరకు సా.శ.1817 ఈశ్వర సంవత్సరం శ్రావణ శుద్ధ నవమినాడు తరిగొండ వెంగమాంబ వేంకటేశ్వరస్వామిని స్మరిస్తూ సజీవ సమాధి చెందింది.
