తరిగొండ వెంగమాంబ 18 వ శతాబ్దానికి చెందిన తెలుగు కవయిత్రి, తిరుమల వేంకటేశ్వర స్వామి భక్తురాలు. వేంకటాచల మాహాత్మ్యము, ద్విపద భాగవతం వంటి ఆధ్యాత్మిక కావ్యాలు రచించింది. తరికొండ వేంకమాంబ రచించిన శ్రీకృష్ణమంజరి చాలా ప్రశస్తమైన స్తుతికావ్యం. వెంగమాంబ చిత్తూరు జిల్లా, గుర్రంకొండ మండలంలోని తరిగొండ గ్రామంలో వాసిష్ఠ గోత్రీకుడైన కానాల మంగమాంబా,కృష్ణయా మాత్య అను నందవరీక బ్రాహ్మణ దంపతులకు 1730లో జన్మించింది. ఈమె తన జీవితాంతం శ్రీవేంకటేశ్వరుణ్ణి ఆరాధించింది. చివరకు సా.శ.1817 ఈశ్వర సంవత్సరం శ్రావణ శుద్ధ నవమినాడు తరిగొండ వెంగమాంబ వేంకటేశ్వరస్వామిని స్మరిస్తూ సజీవ సమాధి చెందింది.
Tarigonda Vengamamba was one of the most famous women Telugu writers in the history. She wrote many poems, and songs and did a lot of service activities for women's empowerment.  She was famous in Yakshagana Poetry. Vengamamba wrote many songs and tuned them like Annamayya. Her song regarding HARATHI for the Lord Venkateswara was so famous. There was a saying in Telugu "Tallapaka Vari  Laali - Tarigondamma Harathi."  She gave MUTYALA HARATHI to the Lord Venkateswara every day. She was one of the most famous and honored Telugu writers in Andhra Pradesh. 

 I planned an activity after the completion of the lesson. I told my students to prepare a summary of her life events and writings. Later I gave tachted leaves to them. I told them to write her bio, important events, works, and writings on the leaves. Finally, they tied and prepared a TALAPATRAM of Tarigonda Vengamamaba. You can watch the video of the activity.
