A Creative Writing Task and Craft Activity- Swami Vivekananda Lesson

Fun and creative writing tasks can serve as a great source of motivation. Students are more likely to look forward to writing activities, which can result in better participation and overall learning. Creative writing activities encourage children to use their imagination, explore their ideas, and express themselves in unique ways. This helps in fostering creativity and individuality. Here is a simple, creative, and interactive writing activity for primary students to write about the qualities of a great personality. You can use this activity to write about the important events and activities that happened in the life of great personalities. See the activity.

Required Material: Colour papers, glue, markers, picture of the great personality.

  • I instructed my students to read the lesson about ' Swami Vivekananda."
  • Told them to identify the qualities that he had.
  • Told them to list out the qualities.
  • Guided them to draw past the image of the person and draw rays as shown in the picture.
  • Provided the colour strips to paste on the rays.
  • Once they glued the colour strips, told them to write the qualities that they listed as shown in the picture.
  • You can tell them to find the meanings and write along with the words.
  • You can also extend the activity to write a sentence by using the words.
  • Finally told them to present in front of the class.

Young children tend to learn best when they are actively engaged and enjoying the learning process. Creative and fun writing activities capture their interest and motivate them to participate enthusiastically. As a primary school teacher, you can incorporate creative and interactive writing activities in your lesson plans to make the learning experience more enjoyable and effective for your students.
