Interactive Place Value Blocks Game: Drag and Drop Math Fun!

Teaching the concept of Place Value is often the first major hurdle for primary students, especially when it comes to the "invisible" power of zero as a placeholder. As an educator, I have often seen students struggle to visualize how a number like 210 or 405 is actually constructed. They might know the digits, but do they understand the quantity?

To bridge this gap between abstract numbers and concrete understanding, I have developed a new interactive tool for Raj Classroom. This Place Value Block Lab moves beyond simple drills by using virtual Dienes blocks. Unlike basic games, this simulation requires students to intentionally select the correct column and place the matching block, reinforcing the identity of Hundreds, Tens, and Ones. With a real-time expansion form (400 + 0 + 5) and a manual "Check" step, it ensures that students aren't just guessing—they are mastering the logical foundation of mathematics.
