Picture Interaction- Animating the Picture
Class: 4
Lesson: Green is Life
Topic: Picture Interaction
Academic Standards: Speaking Reading, Writing and Creative Expression.
The picture takes a vital role in learning. So transacting a picture in the lesson is very essential to achieve or target the academic skills. Because a picture can lead to developing the multi-skills in the children. So the transaction of the picture should be important in learning. If we drag the children's attention towards the picture it will be a good session. In order to achieve those skills, the transaction method of a picture should be effective. So as a teacher you need to think over it.
Here I am going to discuss my method to transact a picture in the classroom. I have been using this method for a year and the results are amazing. After the interaction or transacting the picture, 80 percent of children in my class can able to speak and describe it. I am using COLLEAGUE BASED interacting method to transact a picture. In this method, we should stick the pictures one by one during the transaction to give the isolated concept on each object in the picture. It means, first of all, you should draw or gather individual pictures in the big picture. Later you should draw the background for better starting. While transacting the picture you stick an individual picture and describe that. Like this by adding one by one you have to describe each and every individual picture. And finally, the whole picture should give the unique meaning of the given story.
In these below pictures, you can find the differences in how I had pasted the pictures one by one. First I had pasted the background chart and asked my children to respond. They had given different ideas and I wrote those on the board. Next, I had pasted big tree, then interaction, next house, then interaction....like this I had transacted the picture. (like animation) After every picture, I gave chance to my children to respond and I had written their responses. After the interaction, I asked my children to speak about this picture. They explained easily and said five or six sentences. Later I asked them to write a description of that picture. You can observe my transaction and children's writing in the below pictures.
