4 practical ways and activities to improve writing skills.

Improving writing skills to primary children is the biggest challenge for teachers. Especially the students who are learning English as a second language are getting much trouble to improve writing skills. Here I am discussing some practical tips and activities which I have been using in my classroom to my young learners.

Integrated Reading and Writing Activity

Subject : English Topic : SUPERSTITIONS Rhyme Grade : 4th Targeted Standards : Reading, Writing and creative Expression.

First of all I would like to thank to the author of the book Teaching Young Learners to Think to gave this great activity. I adopted that activity (Can you Read This) and prepared a new worksheet of my own to this activity. A rhyme about superstitions in grade IV.

Then I have checked their understanding by giving some problems on the blackboard to the whole class. At last I have given the proble…
